I'm afraid I don't have anything prepared beyond what I've already said to you all. I'm diving in half-cocked because that way I get around to diving in. :) We'd like to be a positive influence on the island and for everyone (us, you) to make money! We're starting by shipping in wood and iron. We're just getting it off the ground now, so we'll see how it goes. I'm sure there are lots of other things we can do after that. Ideas, complaints, love letters, etc. are welcome here, and discussion. Hopefully we'll have good discussion.

that seems odd since they are still active threads on the YPP forums.

He means on here, this forum it says that. I'm guessing normal members cant see links?

Stuff that only forum admins are allowed to see pop up in so many weird places. I don't know how much is a limitation of forumotion and how much is how our forums specifically are configured. If an admin is has the time to look into fixing it I can take an inventory of what I know about.

I'm an admin and I can see and use the first links that Vari posted, but I can't see the ones Shaydi posted. Hm.

I'll look into this.

Edit: Has it been fixed? I changed a couple little things in the admin settings such as allowing HTML, which I think was the problem.

I'm afraid I still can't see them. Another thing that strikes me as odd is if I click on a list on the front page like "moderators", "royals", or "the night owl senior officers" I'd expect to see who was in that list, but instead it tells me I don't have the rights to follow the link. Maybe that's the correct behavior, but it's not what I would expect. Searches for users also don't work, iirc.

hehe dont worry Gelf you aren't going crazy!!! I didn't actually post a link i was just showing what links look like to us that are not Admin.

But it didn't fix the post that started the issue showing, Stache's post.

now does it work? Apparently I didn't notice the disable HTML in this post check box. That may have been the issue.

You can't see these groups because they are 'closed' groups. Only members of the groups themselves are allowed to see who else they are. The reason for this is that when a group is open, anyone can add members to that group. With the group closed, only certain members are allowed to add members to that group. This forum is weird sometimes, since by that logic you should be able to add members to the crew forums if you're part of the crew forum, but that isn't always the case.

I don't know what else we can do to activate those links. I'll look a bit later on today to see if other users of these forums has the same issue.

Edit: Try now. I've made the links in Stache's post into actual hyperlinks as opposed to the copy-and-pasted text that they were before. Maybe it'll work now?

Still don't work for me either. If the comments that put me over 100 comments are troubleshooting I'll be a little annoyed. :/

How about you at least post it in a way we can see what it is and get what he posted, even if you have to post it as forums . puzzle pirates . com / blah blah / blah... Make seeing what we want to see for this thread and figuring out this bug two separate problems.

I have indeed been following the posts Stache, and I have adjusted my herb accumulation strategies based on this analysis. And it also explains how easily I can get Indigo and Yarrow on the cobalt side!
